Thinking Process.
The idea was to create a Visual Identity that stays consistent inside and outside the game. Throughout the project you will see how the Athletic and Academic versions come together. First step was to redo the monogram they had N & W. Although has an athletic look, it lacks balance and simplicity. Too many colours, inconsistency within the letters , overall too busy for what's meant to be.
Next, implementing a mascot that can represent the team in the game. The mascot itself needs to be simple and concise. I've picked some characteristics of the cat just to give me a further push / insight when it came to designing the mascot. Fierce, sharp and agile , these were the words that kept coming into my mind. Thinking of the game itself , you need to show fierceness to the opponent, have that sharpness / attention for the game and agility / speed to pass the opponent and score.
And last but not least, bringing it all together in a consistent and coherence look.
